Preview: The Great Camping Adventure, Theatre Royal Winchester

Family audiences are invited to venture into the mountains with popular children’s character, Fireman Sam, in The Great Camping Adventure at Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday 11 August.

The story tells of a boy called Norman who wants to impress his friends so follows two famous animal explorers into the mountains after they arrive in Pontypandy. But when Norman discovers a rare red squirrel, one of the explorers takes the glory and leaves him stranded in a cave – for Fireman Sam to rescue. Join Sam as he saves the day and ensures everyone is safe on their camping trip.

Fireman Sam is brought to the stage by Mark Thompson Productions – producers of live family shows and STEM educational experiences since 2013 and whose other shows include Milkshake! Live, The Dinosaur That Pooped A Rock Show, Science Museum: The Live Stage Show and Tom Gates’ Epic Stage Show.

Fireman Sam is an animated children’s TV character who has existed since the late 1980s – with the TV series now shown around the world.
