Kaiser Chiefs to replace Michael Kiwanuka at Victorious

Southampton’s Michael Kiwanuka announced yesterday that would be cancelling all forthcoming shows, including festival appearances, due to continued illness.

The ‘Small Changes’ star was set to play at Southsea’s Victorious on Friday, August 22nd.

Kaiser Chiefs are taking his place, playing on the main stage ahead of Queens of the Stone Age.

The popular band return to the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival after delighting crowds there two years ago.

This year the line-up of the family-friendly festival also includes Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, Gabrielle, Nelly Furtado, another Southampton star – Craig David, Ash, Shed Seven and yet another Southampton musician, Caity Baser.

There’s also a strong line-up of comedy across the bank holiday weekend, including Jasper Carrott and Chris McCausland, while the children’s arena has its own stage and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Victorious takes place 22 – 24 August 2025 at Southsea Common. For more info and tickets for visit victoriousfestival.co.uk
