New art trail for Eastleigh artists

Artists in Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford have set up an art trail as part of this year’s Hampshire Open Studios.

Hampshire Open Studios is currently taking place, and runs until 25th August, and this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. Many artists open their studio doors across the county and you can now follow the new trail in Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford. You’ll find a wide variety of art, from jewellery to paintings, upcycled creations, glass, ceramics and mixed media.

The Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford trail was the brainchild of artists Becks Porter (pictured top) and Gemma Donegan (Venue 246). This marks the second time the pair have joined forces, following the success of their first art trail for HOS in 2019.

This year, the duo are thrilled to be exhibiting together, showcasing a dynamic blend of painting and fused glass that promises to delight visitors.

“We’re both so excited to be exhibiting together this year. We both make colourful, cheerful pieces of art that should really complement each other. The blend of painting and fused glass is a winning combination,” says Gemma Donegan of Little Glass Robin.

Alison Kerslake from the newly-formed SO Collective (venue 241 in The Good Companions Pub) said “it’s been amazing working with the SO collective and I’m really looking forward to taking part in Hampshire Open Studios for the first time”.

The art trail offers the perfect opportunity for the local community and visitors alike to enjoy unique handmade art, meet the artists, watch a live demonstration, take part in a workshop, or just pop in for a chat. Come and explore Chandler’s Ford in a new and inspiring way. This year’s event is set to be one of the most visually engaging yet. Don’t miss the chance to see the work of these talented local artists and experience a showcase that celebrates creativity, colour and community.
