Mayflower Studios’ Shout Season is back with a whole new line up this autumn.
Shout Season takes place from the end of September to November, with a wide variety of events and shows for all ages. Shout Season’s aim is to shine a light on new local theatre and stories.

Propel: Scratch Night – Saturday 27 September 2025
Scratch Nights are an opportunity for artists to test and explore new work in front of an audience. The audience will have the opportunity to offer feedback to artists at the end of each performance which will help shape the future of the productions.
In The Lady Garden – Saturday 4 October 2025
Following its 4-star, 2024 sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Theatre Royal Plymouth, the rip-roaring comedy ‘In the Lady Garden’ is now heading to Mayflower Studios.
Will Alice shake off the shackles of the patriarchy and live out the rest of her days with outrageous abandon?

Tales for an Unruly Audience – Saturday 25 October 2025
This production is a responsive storytelling experience inspired by bardic tradition. No two shows are the same, with the audience, as the curators of your own destiny- perfect for those who want permission to misbehave. With tales of witches & wizards, wise men & fools.
Remythed – Thursday 30 October 2025
Remythed takes myths and legends from the backgrounds of its performers, reshapes and retells them. Stories in ways you’ve never seen them before; full of insight, dreams and wisdom that’ll leave you joyfully questioning every story you’ve ever been told.

The Big Movement LIVE – 8 November 2025
Presented by ZoieLogic, The Big Movement LIVE will begin with a series of interactive installations that are designed to challenge stereotypes, spark conversation and connect with ideas and stories around men’s wellbeing. Through dance and storytelling, they will share experiences of mental health and identity, offering perspectives that are both personal and powerful.
Half Man Half Bull – 12 November 2025
Two stories, two gigs – two tales of escaping things and proving things. This epic theatrical double-album full of virtuosic spoken word and soaring live music is a story in two halves. Half Man Half Bull is part of REWRITES. REWRITES showcases new musicals at the start of their journey to the stage and is a partnership programme led by Lowry, Birmingham Hippodrome, Mayflower Studios and Norwich Theatre.
