Small adventurers are invited to join a swashbuckling quest when Pirates Love Underpants comes to Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday 20 September.
Pirates Love Underpants tells the story of a group of pirates on a journey to find the fabled Pants of Gold for the Captain’s treasure chest – by dodging hungry crocodiles, bobbing on the waves of Big Knickers Bay, spotting sharks, and trekking across Three Pants Ridge.
Packed with puppetry and music, so perfect for audiences aged 1+ (but all ages welcome), it has been described as ‘entertaining, engaging and energetic’.
This family adventure show is based on the original book by award-winners, author Claire Freedman (Aliens Love Underpants, Superkid, How to Nab a Rabbit) and illustrator Ben Cort (Dragons Love Underpants, Ringo Starr’s Octopus’s Garden, Monstersauraus). The show is brought to the stage by Norwell Lapley Productions who develop and produce touring theatre shows with well-known TV personalities and authors, and specialise in dramatising children’s literature – with their other children’s shows including Dear Zoo Live, Tales from Acorn Wood Live and The Owl Who Came for Christmas.
Pirates Love Underpants will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September at various times. Recommended age: 1+ (all ages welcome). For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
