The Southampton International Boat Show has returned with its signature blend of luxury, heritage, and cutting-edge adventure. From £9 million superyachts gleaming in the marina to inflatable dinghies priced for weekend explorers, the show offered something for every kind of sailor with something to spend.
Among the standout exhibitors was Team: Do The Thing, a group preparing for an Atlantic Ocean row in January 2026. They’re raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which supports children diagnosed with critical illnesses.

It was a pleasure to chat with Jazz Turner, the world-ranked sailor and founder of Project Fear. At just 27, she has already made history as the first female and first wheelchair user to complete a solo, non-stop circumnavigation of the UK and Ireland — a feat she accomplished in just 28 days. Her next challenge is even more ambitious: a solo, unassisted circumnavigation of the globe as part of the prestigious WorldStar Race.

Looking particularly colourful was Foxtrot 8, a Falklands War landing craft wrapped in Pride colours to mark the 25th anniversary of the lifting of the UK military’s ban on LGBTQ+ service members. Now part of the Portsmouth Historic Quarter’s collection, the vessel’s vibrant makeover was commissioned by the charity Fighting With Pride, honouring those who served in silence and celebrating the inclusivity now present in the armed forces.
