Fans of the 1960s singer songwriter Roy Orbison can delight in the UK’s newest and most authentic tribute to the star when The Roy Orbison Experience comes to Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday 12 October.
The show celebrates the musician best known for classics Pretty Woman, You Got It and Only the Lonely, and is a production not to be missed, fronted by West End and Edinburgh Fringe performer, Oliver Harris, with a live band who replicate Orbison’s iconic sound. Harris is not a look-a-like or impersonator but rather gives a unique live performance that recreates the legendary rock n roller’s voice, sound and style.
The Roy Orbison Experience celebrates a six-time Grammy Award winning star whose discography also includes the likes of I Drove All Night, Crying, and Running Scared and who, in later years, made a comeback by joining the all-star supergroup, The Traveling Wilburys, and was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.
The Roy Orbison Experience will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday 12 October at 7.30pm. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
