The Crown actress, Imelda Staunton, stars in the National Theatre Live screening of Mrs. Warren’s Profession at Theatre Royal Winchester on Monday 10 November.
Mrs. Warren’s Profession tells the story of Vivie Warren – a woman ahead of her time, and her mother – a product of an old patriarchal order. While Mrs Warren has earned a fortune exploiting her position, she has at what cost?
This National Theatre adaptation of Bernard Shaw’s classic story of morality, independence, tradition and progress was filmed live in the West End.
Mrs. Warren’s Profession features five-time Olivier Award-winner, Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Shakespeare in Love), and her daughter, Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) working together for the first time as a mother daughter pairing in this tale directed by multi award-winner, Dominic Cooke.
The screening of The Importance of Being Earnest has a PG certification.
