‘Southampton Patriots’ are currently holding an anti-asylum seeker protest outside a hotel housing asylum seekers in Portswood, Southampton.
A group of counter-demonstrators are also at the site.
The group calling themselves ‘Southampton Patriots’ have been holding weekly anti-asylum seeker demonstrations outside the hotel in Highfield Lane, as well as a marches through parts of the city, including a large march and rally last Sunday, which also saw a large counter-demonstration by Southampton Stand Up To Racism and various local community, religious and trade union groups.
Today’s demonstration began at 2pm and is currently ongoing.
