Almost one in five older adults in Southampton feels lonely, and this can be amplified at this time of year. By bringing generations together, Saints Foundation aimed to share the joy that children can bring.
This event marked the start of the annual Share the Joy campaign, which includes a prize draw giving supporters the chance to back the charity while also winning a range of fantastic prizes. This year’s headline prize is two Halo Lounge tickets for Saints vs Millwall on New Year’s Day.
£5 (one chance to win) could buy shin pads for a young person to take part in our Premier League Primary Stars after-school football clubs for the first time. 60% of the foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars participants live in the 20% most deprived areas of Southampton, so your donation can help them learn a new skill.
£50 (ten chances to win) could pay for three older adults to be transported to our community sessions. With almost 1 in 5 older adults in Southampton experiencing loneliness, the foundation’s projects offer them a space not only to maintain their fitness, but also to build meaningful connections.
Other prizes in the draw include additional hospitality experiences, home match tickets, signed merchandise from players and ambassadors, and much more. Full list of prizes: southamptonfc.com/en/saints-foundation-share-the-joy
