Popular broadcaster, Fred Dinenage, presents an evening of expert insight on gang lords, Ronnie and Reggie Kray, at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 15 January 2026.
In Ronnie, Reggie and Me with Fred Dinenage, the official biographer to Britain’s most notorious gangsters shares the twins’ story – from ultimate crime lords of London’s underworld, feared for decades, to their eventual undoing in 1969 when the pair were given life sentences – with Reggie locked away in some of the toughest prisons in the country and Ronnie a patient in Broadmoor, kept under control with massive doses of drugs.
The TV presenterand author – who was chosen by the brothers to tell their official story and given unparallelled access to their lives, becoming one of very few people allowed into their inner circle – reveals stories and situations for the first time, never publicly told, and plays recordings he made while visiting Ronnie in Broadmoor.
He discloses what it was like to venture into some of Britain’s toughest instituions and meet the twins that other journalists simply couldn’t get close to; and shares fascinating and intriguing stories about the gritty reality of being a gangster in the swinging 60s.
