Enjoy classic movies at Theatre Royal Winchester

Theatre Royal Winchester is pleased to announce more classic cinema screenings are coming to the venue from early February.

The next series of films features incredible storytelling, song-writing, and memorable performances from popular actors, and starts with Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 thriller, Rear Window (5 February) starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly.

Audiences can also experience on the big screen the time travel adventure Back to the Future (30 March) – with Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, the 1961 musical West Side Story (28 April) – based on Shakespeare’s romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet and starring Natalie Wood. Plus, the 1964 family favourite, Mary Poppins (17 May) – with Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke, and the period drama Pride and Prejudice (14 July) – featuring an all-star cast including Keira Knightley, Donald Sutherland, Judi Dench, and Rosamund Pike.

The classic cinema offer compliments the theatre’s popular screenings of award-winning and star-studded National Theatre Live productions, Royal Ballet and Opera performances, and diverse live performance programme.

Rear Window will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 5 February at 2pm, Back to the Future on Monday 30 March at 7.30pm, West Side Story on Tuesday 28 April at 2pm, Mary Poppins on Sunday 17 May at 2pm, and Pride and Prejudice Tuesday 14 July at 2pm.
