Preview: Amazing Animals, Theatre Royal Winchester

Families can enjoy the heart-warming show that celebrates all creatures great and small when Amazing Animals visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 7 February.

Amazing Animals is a show dedicated to the animal kingdom where audiences get to see their favourite animals on stage, before their very eyes, without any live animals actually appearing as the show features incredible visual effects – master puppetry, cutting-edge animatronics and other special effects.

Life sized crocodiles, sloths, reindeer and orangutans are just some of the animals that appear. Amazing Animals is also a show packed with music and comedy suited to all ages from toddlers to their grown-ups.

Amazing Animals is brought to the stage by The Animal Guyz who produce animal education shows; have a passion for ‘learning through laughter’; and whose animal heroes include Sir David Attenborough and Australia Zoo’s late founder, Steve Irwin.

Amazing Animalsfeatures as part of COWFest 2026 – the Children of Winchester Festival – which returns on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February with a programme of creative, playful and inclusive activities for families across the city of Winchester.

Amazing Animals will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 7 February at 11.30am and 2.30pm. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
