Fans of TV medical dramas are invited to a show packed with doctors-and-nurses clichés when General Medical Emergency Ward 10  visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 12 March.

The show follows Dr Ann Fleming’s first day at St David’s where her unfortunately named mentor, Dr Death, is determined to show her who’s boss… and as the medical emergencies begin to overwhelm the team, Dr Fleming has to juggle a complicated budding love affair with a kidney and a nosey hospital boss – not literally!

General Medical Emergency Ward 10 is a comic mash-up spoof for audiences who love TV shows such as Casualty, Holby City, Doctors, E.R; a pacy homage to the intrigues and dramas that take place in every hospital plotline on the TV and cinema screen.

It is brought to the stage by the award-winning Dyad Productions and Company Gavin Robertson – the first, creators of classic theatre with a contemporary relevance; while a trademark of Gavin Robertson’s work is his signature style of comic physical theatre. The two theatre companies have toured the UK and the world, with their previous productions including A Room of One’s Own, That Knave, Raleigh, Austen’s Women: Lady Susan (Dyad) and Bond – An Unauthorised Parody and Done To Death (Robertson). The show stars Dyad’s Rebecca Vaughan and Andrew Margerison, and Gavin Robertson.

General Medical Emergency Ward 10 will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 12 March at 7.30pm. For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
