Southampton 4-piece Myriad are celebrating the release of their new EP on March 20th with a hometown gig at Suburbia the following night (Saturday 21st).
Following on from last year’s Living On The Internet EP, it’s titled Notes She Never Read, and the quartet have just released a second single from it earlier this month. Cowboys follows hot on the heels of Better Off Without You, released in October.
The band describe it as their most intimate work yet, blending intricate guitars with heartfelt lyrics. The track encapsulates the story of meeting that special person and falling in love for the first time, with all the added emotions that come from it.
The band explain: “Cowboys captures the excitement of young love, not knowing what will happen next, and the vulnerability that comes with revealing your inner self to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It’s a heartfelt Valentine’s Day story”.
Myriad’s sound is high on energy and guitar riffs that combine influences from older bands like REM and The Stereophonics with the latest wave of indie acts such as Turnover and Bebadoobee.
After highly successful shows at The Joiners and Heartbreakers in 2025, the latter end of year saw the band enjoy support slots with The Hunna and The Summer Set. They also appeared at the Isle Of Wight Festival and are aiming to continue their new era of sound that is bigger and braver than ever, with anthemic indie rock that is impossible to ignore.
Tickets for the show at Suburbia are on sale now and the band have deliberately kept the price low in a bid to make music accessible to everyone.
