Preview: Cara Dillon: Coming Home, Theatre Royal Winchester

Folk fans can enjoy an evening of music blending storytelling, poetry and song when Cara Dillon: Coming Home visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 26 March.

Coming Home is an acclaimed live production from singer Cara Dillon that weaves emotive new material with a carefully curated selection of beloved classics. Born from a collection of personal poems, plus, album and book of the same name, it offers a rare and evocative glimpse into the singer’s world where she shares personal memories and stories inspired by her native Co. Derry and the people, places and customs close to her heart.

For the show, Dillon – with fans around the world; who has won countless awards and accolades; and performed at prestigious concert halls and festivals globally – is accompanied by an incredible band led by musician and producer Sam Lakeman and his sensitive arrangements that help to make this Dillon’s most compelling live show yet.

Cara Dillon: Coming Home followed the release of an album and book of the same name by Dillon in 2024, with the show delighting audiences as it featured her first new material in six years, and selling out Kings Place, London and the Grand Opera House in Belfast.

Cara Dillon: Coming Home will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 26 March at 7.30pm.  For more information, or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
