Create a play in three days at Theatre Royal Winchester

Theatre Royal Winchester is opening its doors during the Easter holiday to young people aged 13 – 18 interested in creating their very own play in three days.

Play in 3 Days: Grimm Tales, which runs from Monday 30 March – Wednesday 1 April, is an opportunity for young people to stage, rehearse and perform their very own version of a dark and enchanting script based on a Brothers Grimm tale – including Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, The Three Snake Leaves, Hans-my-Hedgehog and Juniper Tree; stories retold by Philip Pullman and adapted for the stage by Philip Wilson.

Participants will work with theatre practitioners to create characters, develop new performance skills, and collaborate with other young creatives, before performing their show before family and friends on the Theatre Royal Winchester stage. No acting experience is required, just enthusiasm, imagination, and a willingness to dive in.

The workshops will take place at Theatre Royal Winchester from Monday 30 March – Wednesday 1 April, 10am – 4pm each day, with the performance on the final day at 4pm.Places are bookable via playmakers.org.uk.
