Renowned physician and menopause specialist, Dr Louise Newson, returns to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 25 April with her new show, Breaking the Cycle: The Power of Hormones, exploring the history and often-neglected science of hormones.
Breaking the Cycle: The Power of Hormones reveals decades of misinformation, challenging everything people have been told about hormones; and the medical misogyny and attempts for doctors to be silenced – all leading to harms of the health of women.
Dr Newson, who returns after a hugely successful 2024 theatre tour, presents a talk that aims to help people think differently about their hormones, while learning ways to reclaim their health and confidence – and audiences should expect to leave feeling shocked and angry but also energised and empowered, and ready to demand better.
Dr Louise Newson is a GP, hormone specialist and leading voice in transforming menopause care worldwide. A member of the UK Government’s Menopause Taskforce, she is dedicated to improving menopause awareness, education and care. She is the author of two Sunday Times bestsellers; her podcast has been downloaded more than 8 million times, and app 1.4 million times worldwide; and she has also launched an online course.
