Calling all 18-25 year-olds!  Have you ever wanted to put on your own music event? Are you aiming for a career in the music industry? Turner Sims is offering free music industry workshops for young people across April and May 2026.

Open to 18-25-year-olds with SO postcodes, this is a brand-new opportunity for those curious and excited for a career in the music industry. They can learn from professionals currently working at Turner Sims – the University of Southampton’s music venue and cultural hub of its community.

The series of free practical workshops will introduce a range of potential careers and skills in live music venues to the young people taking part. They will learn how gigs are booked, how live events are run, how concerts are promoted, and get hands on experience in technical production.

Participants taking part in at least one workshop will have the opportunity to apply for a paid role supporting events at Turner Sims. Find out more and book your place.
