The Point invites visitors to enjoy Friday Night Summer Social – their annual series of free live music evenings – which will take place from Friday 17 July to Friday 14 August on the venue’s outdoor garden stage.
Offering a varied mix of folk, blues, roots and upbeat covers, the weekly events will help to mark three decades of the borough’s cultural life. The line-up includes:
- 17 July – Tomfoolery
- 24 July – Ben Dlugokecki Duo
- 31 July – Delta Highway
- 7 Aug – The Henrys
- 14 Aug – Strip Down Babylon
Designed as a welcoming and relaxed community event, Summer Social offers free music, and audiences can bring their own chairs or use the bench seating on site. Food and drink will also be available from The Point’s café bar throughout the evening.
“We’re delighted to be celebrating our 30th anniversary with another Summer Social Series, bringing people together for free live music at The Point” said Artistic Director, Charlotte Cassey. “It’s a wonderful way to enjoy some fantastic local talent and celebrate summer as a community.”
Summer Social offers music lovers the chance to enjoy live outdoor entertainment, spend time with friends and neighbours, and celebrate the local spirit that has shaped The Point over the past 30 years.
Visitors are asked not to bring food or drink with them, as there will be refreshments available for purchase from The Point on the night.
Further information about Summer Social and the featured bands are available from The Point, website at Summer Social | The Point Theatre Eastleigh.
