True crime fans can learn more about the most dangerous of murder investigations when another instalment of the popular The Makings of a Murderer series visits Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday 5 July.
The Makings of a Murderer: The Undercover Detective is the latest from the UK’s best-selling true crime talk show, having already sold out two tours with over 150,000 tickets sold – with this new instalment diving even deeper into the grisliest murder investigations.
The talk is presented by Peter Bleksley – a founding member of Scotland Yard’s undercover unit and a former star of Channel 4’s Hunted – the reality TV series which sees a group of hunters made up of police and intelligence teams track down contestants on the run.
Bleksley takes to the stage now to discuss his most high-stakes cases and the hidden aspects of murder investigations; infiltrating criminal gangs and becoming the target of an assassination plot that forced him into witness protection.
Bleksley worked undercover for over a decade and during that time posed as drug dealers to contract killers – his double life giving him access to the darkest of corners of humanity while also risking his life to save others.
