This week (24/8/26), the Lord Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Pat Evemy, granted her presence and blessings on the opening day of the Oaklands Art Club Summer Exhibition, part of the Hampshire Open Studios 2026 currently taking place (HOS).
The Oaklands Art Club (www.oaklandsartclub.org) is a small group of amateur artists who meet at the Oasis Academy, Lordshill, Southampton every Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Activities include open studio, videos, demonstrations, member critiques, group drawing activities and exhibitions, such as the Summer Exhibition.
The 2026 event occurs at the Colne Avenue Baptist Church, in Millbrook, from Monday 24th August through Saturday 29th August 2026, each day from 11 AM to 4 PM.
