Southampton Pride returns to the city this weekend

Southampton Pride returns to the city this weekend on the 29th and 30th August.

The annual Pride event is back again for its 10th year anniversary on both Saturday and Sunday. Held in and around Southampton’s Guildhall Square, there will be three stages hosting great acts, as well as stalls, a Youth Zone and for the first time Trans Zone upstairs in the Stage Door.

Saturday will also see the Pride March, leaving Queen’s Park at 11am and heading through the city centre to Guildhall Square.

 Drawing thousands from the outset, Southampton Pride has always offered a vibrant and affirming space for Southampton’s LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together and celebrate diversity. 

Since then, Southampton Pride has grown rapidly, both in scale and impact. 

From intimate beginnings to a fully-fledged annual festival featuring parades, live music, and community stalls, it has become one of the South Coast’s standout Pride events.  

The Main Stage will be hosted across the weekend by Aura Jay, Clare Deloon and Dawn, bringing their own mix of entertainment and energy to the stage as they guide audiences through a packed programme of performances. 

Highlights on the main stage include Kerry Katona with Kerry-oke, tribute act Chappel Roan UK and Booty Love.

Alongside the main programme, the weekend will feature a Community Stage, showcasing local artists, community groups, performers, DJs and organisations from across Southampton and beyond as well as  the Youth Zone Stage, providing a dedicated space for younger members of our community to enjoy performances, activities and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Meanwhile, the New Trans+ Zone will create a dedicated space for trans and non-binary people, their friends, allies and the wider community.
