Pride returns to Southampton this month

Pride returns to Southampton Guildhall Square this month, on August 27.

As ever, it will begin with a march,  starting at 11am and running from Queens Park, through the Bargate and onto Guildhall Square for around noon.

There will be a ‘market square’ in the Civic Centre car park, from 11am to 5pm, with many of the stallholders being charities and businesses that support the LGBTQ+ community.

There will be a variety of entertainment in the Guildhall Square with more than 60 live acts, including rock band Our Propaganda, Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 3’s Queen Elektra Fence and Ella Vaday and season 1 winner The Vivienne, running until 10pm.

Pride is a family-friendly event and is free, but visitors are encouraged to arrive early as there may be queues.
