Preview: Festive Fairy Lights and Fizz, Bapsy Hall, Guildhall Winchester

The popular and historic Festive Fairy Lights and Fizz is set to return to Guildhall Winchester on Friday 9 December from 6 to 10pm.

Presented by Vineyards of Hampshire, Fairy Lights and Fizz will be held in the Victorian grandeur of the Bapsy Hall, which will be decked with twinkling fairy lights throughout.

One of only two events a year that offer the opportunity to sample and enjoy the widest range of Hampshire’s finest sparkling and still wines, this unique festival is not to be missed.

Learn about new grapes and blends, and find the preferred Hampshire fizz for your festivities, mingle with the winemakers and get those Christmas orders in early – guests will be given a returnable tasting glass on arrival, a tasting note book and are able to taste samples of all the wines on show.

The Vineyards of Hampshire (VoH) producers from Black Chalk, Cottonworth, Danebury Vineyards, Exton Park, The Grange, Hambledon, Hattingley and Raimes will all be in attendance. This year will also be the first time that newest members, Quob Park and Louis Pommery England, join in with the yuletide merriment.

With vineyards scattered across the North and South Downs – from nine different wine estates with nine different stories – VoH offer wine tours and tasting experiences from a multitude of award-winning wines.

Sponsored by the NFU Winchester and Wickham, Fairy Lights and Fizz is a fun festive evening excursion for friends or even an interesting alternative to the work Christmas party outing – complete with Fizz Bar and Fizz Shop.

Festive Fairy Lights and Fizz admission tickets are priced from £25 – £30 each (plus booking fee), and include expert tastings of 20+ wines. Tickets available now from Eventbrite: https://bit.ly/3V1SuoS.
