Preview: The Spitfire Sisters, Theatre Royal Winchester

Celebrate the festive season with Winchester’s own vocal harmony trio, The Spitfire Sisters, at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 15 December.

The group return home to delight audiences with a selection of seasonal tunes, hoping to awaken the Christmas spirit in us all.

The Spitfire Sisters, Anna Harding, Louisa Revolta and Hannah Castleman – who have been singing since 2011 – first learnt the harmonies of American swing singing trio, The Andrews Sisters, and have since carried that style across other genres, evolving to write and perform their own songs.

They write and record with their pianist Steve Christie at Vintage Keys Studio and are creative ambassadors for Winchester, wanting to help grow a music making community.

Louisa and Steve run a songwriting workshop at the Railway Inn in Winchester on the first Wednesday of every month, which is open to anyone who wants to have a go at writing a song.

Offering a unique and unforgettable impact, they offer a bespoke songwriting service for both corporate and private clients, which won them the London Beat the Brief competition by tailoring a song to fit a product launch.

The Spitfire Sisters have performed at festivals and arts and heritage venues across the UK, including the Orient Express.

The Spitfire Sisters’ Christmas Special will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Thursday 15 December. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
