Turner Sims offers Southampton creatives rare opportunity to be part of groundbreaking project

Southampton’s Turner Sims is presenting a fantastic opportunity for local people to be part of a unique project.

Turner Sims is looking for creatives who live in a Southampton or SO postcode  to apply to be part of new project The Ripple Effect with the ground-breaking ensemble The Third Orchestra.

The Ripple Effect: The Third Orchestra is presented by Turner Sims in association with  Orchestras Live.  This pioneering project will see selected local Southampton artists join co composition and writing days in London and Southampton under the guidance of the director of the orchestra, composer and music leader, Peter Wiegold.

The Ripple Effect will draw on  the heritage, tradition and identity of each of the chosen individual music/word creators to  generate experimental new works to be shared with audiences in Turner Sims’ award winning performance space.

This is a fantastic opportunity for musical performers, composers, musical improvisers or  spoken-word artists to create and perform new music as collaborators with The Third  Orchestra, which includes leading musicians from across world traditions, folk, jazz, popular,  classical and electronic.

Find out more and apply to be a part of The Ripple Effect by Wednesday 8 February at  turnersims.co.uk
