It’s almost Valentine’s Day so this week’s events and entertainment listings contain a smattering of Valentine-related events, including crafts, romantic brunches and a Valentine’s techno disco – see the listings for more details.

In other news, there’s a bargain night out to be had on February 10th at Theatre Royal Winchester, with ‘pick your own price’ tickets for Dr Adam Perchard’s Bathtime for Britain featuring the queer cabaret legend’s sparkling songs,  sassy story-telling and Liberace-level costumery  (click here for more details).

The big show at the Mayflower Theatre this week is Rambert Dance in Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby – the first of its kind production  from tonight to Saturday 11 February (click here for more information and look out for a review – our reviewier is pictured top at the press n).

Award-winning saxophonist Julian Siegel brings his Jazz Orchestra to Turner Sims, Southampton on the 9th (click here to read more). Somebody’s Child come to The Joiners on the 11th for a sold-out gig, there’s indie music from Collect Call at Heartbreakers on the 12th and much more.

There will be an author talk on the 9th from journalist and activist Michael Chessum who will be discussing his new book This Is Only The Beginning: the making of a new left, from anti-austerity to the fall of Corbyn, at October Books (click here for more information).
