Preview: The Improvised Musical & The Showstoppers Kids Show, Theatre Royal Winchester

Audiences of all ages with big ideas will be invited to shout out their suggestions by the award-winning improvisers, The Showstoppers, when Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and The Showstoppers’ Kids Show come to Theatre Royal Winchester on Sunday 2 April.

At the start of every show, the Olivier Award-winning Showstoppers – direct from the West End – ask for audience suggestions (where the story is set, who the characters are and what happens next) and create a completely spontaneous improvised musical comedy on the spot, from scratch.

With suggestions differing every time, no two performances can ever be the same – so whether suggestions range from Hamilton in a hospital to a wild adventure in a magical kingdom or spooky graveyard, The Showstoppers will take these ideas and transform them into a brand-new musical comedy suitable for their audience.

For the past 12 years, the Showstoppers have been a must-see at the Edinburgh Fringe, with a critically-acclaimed West End run, an Olivier Award, a BBC Radio 4 series and worldwide fans to their name.

The Showstoppers are guaranteed to impress as they take audience suggestions and turn them into all-singing, all-dancing shows with hilarious results.
