It’s summer, so it’s festival season. Last weekend we had Party in the Park. This weekend, there’s the All Aboard Festival near Cobden Bridge and the Unwrapped Festival in Eastleigh and Hedge End, while the Wilder Southampton festival continues throughout the month.
There’s family fun on stage with The Magic of Science at Theatre Royal Winchester, while for adults, there’s Wish You Were Dead at The Mayflower.
Of course, Southampton and the surroundings are blessed with some fantastic music venues, small and large, so there’s plenty to choose from. Gengahr (pictured will be at Vinilo Record Store, Tiger Lillies are down the road in Portsmouth, Coreysan & Ink Project bringing Caribbean electronica to The Art House, The Hu at Southampton Guildhall, SWMRS at The Joiners and so much more.
There are plenty of other events on too, including at talk on Slavery, Colonialism and Empire from Southampton Archaeological Society, October Books’ monthly seed and plant swap, free songwriting sessions at Friends of St James’ Park’s Wednesday drop in group and writing for Queer Joy at Southampton Central Library.
