Southampton listings 20-26 June

Today is World Refugee Day and this weekend Southampton Refugee Week will be marked with a day of events on Saturday including a carnival and an afternoon of entertainment at Palmerston Park.

On Saturday there are two more great daytime events to fit in, if you’re up to the logistical challenge. Still Moving DJs bring their hugely popular All Day Festival to The Brook, a day of two halves, with a family friendly day and over 14s only in the evening, featuring The Uplifter, while Friends of St James Park are holding their Summer Festival at the park in Shirley, featuring Southampton Ukulele Jam, alongside stalls, sports, crafts and much more.

Other highlights  this week include The Four Owls at The 1865, PunkaJimFest  in celebration of the music of Jim O’Sullivan at The Joiners,  Buddy The Musical at The Mayflower, October Books’ Open Mic Night,  Ahir Shah bringing comedy to The Berry Theatre,  and the Wilder Southampton Festival continues until the end of the month.
