Preview: Dragons and Mythical Beasts, Theatre Royal Winchester

Both young and old can be in awe of the creatures they’ll meet when the award-winning Dragons and Mythical Beasts comes to Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday 22 July to Monday 24 July.

Families are invited to enter into a magical world of myths and legends in a brand-new show about magnificent monsters and terrifying beasts – including the colossal Stone Troll, the Tooth Fairy (described as not as sweet as audiences might think), the adorable Unicorn, majestic Griffin, Dragon and more.

From the creators of the West End smash hit, Dinosaur World Live, Dragons and Mythical Beasts sees spectacular puppets brought to life on stage.

The production comes direct from a major tour of America and was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Family Entertainment following its summer season at Regent’s Park Open-Air Theatre, in 2021.

It is co-directed by Laura Cubitt (War Horse, NT Berlin) with puppet design by Max Humphries who has worked with Royal Opera House and Cirque de Soleil.

Dragons and Mythical Beasts will be performed at Theatre Royal Winchester from Saturday 22 – Monday 24 July at various times. All ages welcome.  For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
