UPDATE 14 JULY 2023: DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS, MELA FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The south’s largest Asian festival returns to Southampton this weekend, with the Mela coming to Hoglands Park on Saturday. Last year saw more than 27,000 visitors enjoying music, dance, art, street theatre and much more. The festival is free and runs from noon to 9pm on June 15th.
Friday sees A Southampton Summer Night, curated by The Art House come to the Turner Sims – or more specifically in the gardens outside.
A new play, Henry I, is at The Great Hall, Winchester, this week, while Blue Apple Theatre bring their version of Animal Farm to Theatre Royal Winchester.
Musical highlights include the Amplified Rock Festival.
