As we move into August and find ourselves in the midst of the school holidays, there are loads of events on in the area for everyone.

Tomorrow night sees The Wonderstuff take to the stage at Southampton’s 1865. At the time of writing there were only a handful of tickets left so enjoy if you’ve managed to get tickets.

For adults looking to expand their social lives, the Friends of St James’ Park, Shirley, free social club continues on Monday and Wednesday daytimes. Pop down for a cuppa, a biscuit, a chat, boardgames, crafts and more.

The fascinating Lost in Transit Exhibition from Close the Data Gap continues at October Books this week. For a detailed review, click here.

On Thursday, October Books, Portswood, hosts a talk asking ‘what next for the climate movement?’.

Saturday sees the Southampton Rum Festival, featuring The Sweetchunks Band and more, coming to The Hobbit.

Further afield, Southampton’s favourite son, Craig David, is amongst the headliners at Camp Bestival in Dorset.

Other events include a clothes swap at Boulder Shack, Animal Safari Kids Club at Sea City Museum and a record fair at The 1865.
