Book Launch: Own Your Story at October Books

by Anita Foxall.

Author Nicola Paull launched her book Own Your Story at October Books in Portswood, Southampton, last night (July 29) in a cozy inviting event, where all attending were encouraged to mingle and chat.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nicola, who was incredibly friendly and warm, as well as some of her long life friends and clients who didn’t want to miss this event, even though some had to travel from further away. Each one of them sang the praises of Nicola, not only as a mindfulness mentor and holistic spiritual therapist, but also as a person. It was specially heartwarming to speak to people who shared how they have been supported and guided by Nicola when having to face their own difficulties and vulnerabilities.

Own Your Story was born out of Nicola’s own journey and all the difficulties and tough obstacles she had to overcome, and how she worked on herself. It took her a year to finish the book, and despite a gap caused by writer’s block, her passion and dedication prevailed, and her joy and delight to be able to share it now with the word shone through.

The book provides tools to help with your daily life structure and to guide you in your own journey, so that you can discover yourself, work on the areas you most need to, and feel empowered to develop.

It is structured in a very logical and easy to follow way, and it offers a variety of exercises to guide you into your inner self discovery. It is divided into seven phases, each with a focus in one particular area, and a last section which invites you to reflect on all you experiences and what learned throughout.

Nicola’s priority is that the book is easy to follow and helps you establish achievable objectives to ensure your journey is seamless and successful.

Therefore, this book will ultimately be all about you.

If it becomes the first steps towards self-improvement, or if you have attempted other strategies before, this will certainly be a fresh easy approach that is definitely worth a try. In fact, it’s all in the title, this will be the time to ‘own your story’.
