The Surge play charity gig at Boldre Club this weekend

Recently formed local rock band, The Surge, are organising a charity gig to be held at Boldre Club on Saturday 9th September. The event is to raise funds for MANUP? and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), both mental health charities supporting those that are struggling and a cause that is close to the heart of the band.
Special guests will be the Bamboo Vipers, fronted by local punk stalwart, Shaun Morris. The band is back following a long hiatus and is ready to showcase some of their new material in a live setting. Clockwork Carousel will be opening up the evening with an acoustic set of their finely crafted songs.
The event is supported by a number of local businesses providing PA equipment, sound engineers and some exciting raffle prizes.
The entry fee for this three band lineup goes to the charities and is £5 for those not a member of Boldre Club and free to members, all donations welcome. Doors open at 7pm.
For those that are unable to attend but would like to support the charities, donations can be made through their websites. More information on the event can be found on the Facebook page of the band.
