Photos by Joy Mckay and Anita Foxall.

This weekend saw the return of Music in the City with some 150 acts playing for free at venues across the city including conventional gig venues, cafes, bars, alongside quirkier locations, such as the Holy Rood Church, Guildhall Square and God’s House Tower. The two-day event featured a wide range of music, including sea shanties, folk, jazz, samba, rock and more. Our photographers caught some of the action.
