Southampton’s Charlie Smith coming to The Art House for two December dates

Southampton musician Charlie Smith has put out a new EP and is rounding 2023 off with two events at The Art House in the city centre.
‘Southampton Sessions’ is a 6-track live EP.
“This year has been extremely busy for me, performing countless local gigs and embarking on a northern England tour in October (Leicester, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, and Stockton), “said Charlie.
“To celebrate this, I am putting out a live EP with tracks recorded in my hometown of Southampton.
“Recorded at the legendary local venue The Joiners and at Southampton University, the EP contains only a snippet of live performances I have played this year; however, I feel it gives an insight into my year in music.”

Charlie is hosting two dates at The Art House.

Strings and Synth’s Night comes to the venue on the 2nd of December. It will feature three South Coast original music acts – Charlie Smith, Silver Tower, & New Tide performing all their own material plus a cheeky 80s-inspired cover or two!

End-year open mic at The Art House is an opportunity to witness the vibrant local arts scene.

Charlie added: “The Art House provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for fostering artistic connections and creating memorable experiences. So mark the 14th of December in your diaries, and don’t forget to bring along your instruments. Donations to the community pantry are greatly appreciated.

“As of 2024, I will be stepping back from live shows to create new music,” he continued.

“I want to find new stories to showcase in my work and ultimately find new inspiration. I hope to return in the spring with exciting gig announcements and a new EP recorded.”
