Preview: Viggo Venn, Theatre Royal Winchester

Comedy fans who missed out on tickets to see Viggo Venn perform at Theatre Royal Winchester next month will be pleased to hear that an additional show date has been added, and he will take to the Winchester stage this month on Wednesday 24 January.

The Norwegian clown – who moved to the UK with the dream of becoming a British comedian – was first seen on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent – the show he won in June last year after impressing the judges and TV audiences to become the most talked-about new entertainer in the country.

Prior his win, Venn had toured as part of a double act, Zach and Viggo – a duo that won the Best Comedy Award at the Brighton Fringe festival in 2016 with a show that went on to win at the Adelaide Fringe too. Since winning Britain’s Got Talent, he has performed at the Royal Variety Performance and is now touring and selling out venues across the country.

Viggo Venn has sold out his Saturday 10 February show at Theatre Royal Winchester, bar two tickets (correct at time of writing) – but audiences can still buy tickets for his show on Wednesday 24 January.

Viggo Venn: British Comedian will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Wednesday 24 January at 7.30pm and Saturday 10 February at 7.30pm. Recommended age: 12+(advisory). For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
