Victorious Festival: Sugababes, The Kooks, James Bay, Professor Green, Tom Walker and more join line up

Sugababes, Razorlight, The Kooks, James Bay, Groove Armada, Professor Green, Tom Walker and more added as second wave artist additions for this year’s Victorious Festival in Southsea.

The multi-award-winning Victorious Festival (23/24/25 August 2024) – the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival – has today announced a fresh round of acts to this year’s already monumental line-up, including afternoon special guests and its dance stage ‘Beats and Swing’ headliners.

Making a highly anticipated return to the live music circuit, Sugababes will now be featuring on the Saturday of Victorious Festival with their original line up. Billed to bring the bangers and ‘Push The Button’, lucky fans can expect pop and R&B hits such as ‘Round Round’ and ‘Too Lost In You’ while enjoying the Southsea sunshine.

If one of the UK’s most iconic girl groups of the past 30 years wasn’t enough, the musical powerhouse behind the Grammy-nominated ‘Hold Back The River’, James Bay, will energise fans as part of Sunday’s line-up.

Building the buzz within the coveted ‘Afternoon Special Guest’ spots on Victorious’ main stage, noughties legends Razorlight will be giving a ‘Golden Touch’ to the festival with a set of epic indie tunes on the Friday. Saturday will see the 2019 Brits Award winner for British Breakthrough Artist Tom Walker deliver his own take on rock with a twist of folk while the festival’s penultimate afternoon special guests, indie-pop royalty The Kooks are geared up for a set of noughties nostalgia and summertime anthems that’s not to be missed. This year’s afternoon special guests join already announced headliners Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol, Jamie T and Biffy Clyro.

Getting the party vibe in full ‘Beats and Swing’, Victorious’ dance stage has announced this year’s banging headline acts. Friday night hosts live production pioneer and dance music icon Dub FX, who’ll bring his unique blend of UK and Afro-dance culture to Southsea. Saturday headliners Groove Armada are set to be ‘Superstylin’ their way through a storming DJ set of seminal dance anthems, and UK rap legend and cultural icon Professor Green will be closing this ultimate party by the sea.

Additional Friday acts stacking up the bill include the critically acclaimed alt-pop artist Baby Queen and indie-pop breakthrough sensation Nieve Ella, whose debut EP ‘Young & Naïve’ gained rave reviews last year. Friday’s showstopping line up also features Seahorses frontman Chris Helme, Pacific Avenue and Bellah Mau.

The notorious Shaun Ryder and his gang Black Grape are going to bring a taste of Madchester to the Solent for an all-out Saturday party. Continuing with more original rave revelry,

Sonique, who came to fame as part of the 90s dance group S’Express, will be spinning up a storm on the decks, while The Clockworks, and Lexie Carroll are set to supply summer indie vibes.

Also added to Saturday’s billing are guitar-pop Aussie duo Royel Otis and Tik Tok viral singer-songwriter Katie Gregson-Macleod

Hot additions to Sunday’s line up are the North East’s favourite post-punk outfit The Futureheads and new wave indie-rock group The Hunna, along with Panic Shack and John Power of 90s legendary band Cast. Cited by Sir Elton John as “going to be a big star” Tom A. Smith will give Victorious fans a taste of his fresh take on classic British songwriter.

Meanwhile,  everyone’s favourite pub landlord Al Murray has been announced as the final headliner of this year’s comedy stage alongside a host of world-class comedians including the already announced Russell Howard and Frankie Boyle.

Also announced today is the karaoke phenomenon BARRIOKE, hosted by Shaun Williamson best known for his role as Barry Evans in EastEnders. Festival goers can expect a Sunday singalong with plenty of crowd participation and Shaun’s trademark banter and humour peppered throughout the set

Speaking about this year’s festival, Andy Marsh, Lead Booker at Victorious Festival, said: “We’re so pleased to be able to announce another wave of incredible acts for 2024 off the back of our huge headline announcement. This is just the start… we’ve still got hundreds more acts, performances, and activities to announce across the festival that will be the biggest, best value and most epic year yet.”
