Preview: Rosie Holt: That’s Politainment, Theatre Royal Winchester

Comedian Rosie Holt explores the link between politics and entertainment in her brand-new show, That’s Politainment, at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 13 April.

The acclaimed comedian, actor and satirist’s show claims the worse the political career, the more lucrative the subsequent entertainment opportunities – for example, Matt Hancock – and asks if Holt’s own viral MP can follow other ‘politainers’ such as Dorries, Farage and Rees-Mogg.

Holt – whose videos on social media have scored over 6.5m views – takes her show on the road following a hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe season.

Holt is best-known for her viral videos but has also made appearances on The Russell Howard Hour, BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and Ashley Blaker 6.5 Children. She is also the host of the award-nominated satirical podcast, Noncensored.

Rosie Holt will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 13 April at 8pm. Recommended age: 16+. For more information or to book tickets, visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
