Puss in Boots Panto Community Ensemble auditions

Puss in Boots Panto Community Ensemble auditions

Play to the Crowd, the charity that runs Theatre Royal Winchester, is looking for young people to audition to be in the community ensemble for this year’s traditional family pantomime, Puss in Boots, which will run from Saturday 29 November 2025 – Sunday 4 January 2026.

The charity that produces the theatre’s annual pantomime wants to hear from local performers with dance experience – who are also keen on acting and singing, and want to volunteer to be a part of the panto’s community ensemble and work with professional actors in the show.

This is an opportunity for young people to broaden their performance and industry experience and work with established professionals.

Applications are welcome from anyone aged 16+ (or age 16 by 31 August). The closing date for applications is Sunday 15 June at 11.59pm – with the auditions taking place on Sunday 22 June, 10am – 2pm, at The Paul Chamberlain Building, University of Winchester, King Alfred Campus, Winchester, SO22 4NJ.

The audition will be primarily dance based with auditionees learning one or two dance routines before performing them in small groups to the show’s choreographer and director. Rehearsals will then run throughout November.
