Review & photos: Multi-Stories transforms West Quay into a thriving arts hub

By Mike Daish.

This weekend, West Quay’s multi-story car park is anything but ordinary. Multi-Stories has taken over 3 took over Levels 1, 4A, 5B & 6A on Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 May 2025, turning concrete into canvas and filling the space with an electrifying celebration of creativity.

From the moment visitors arrived, the energy was undeniable. A DJ at the entrance pumped out pulsating beats, setting the tone for an immersive artistic experience. Outside, skateboarders ranging from beginners to seasoned riders—joined workshops led by skilled mentors, flipping and carving their way through new tricks.

Inside and out, the venue had a good selection of stalls showcasing unique creations, where artists and makers displayed their work. Live demonstrations captivated audiences, while interactive activities encouraged people to unleash their own creativity, designing their own street-style art.

This year’s theme, “Connections,” was beautifully woven throughout the event—not just in the physical links between artworks from previous years but also in the relationships formed between artists, communities, and creativity itself. Multi-Stories 3 wasn’t just a showcase of raw talent—it was a testament to the power of art to bring people together.

Although I couldn’t return on Sunday to see the finished pieces, my visit left a lasting impression. I only wish I had more time to soak it all in!
