Southampton Global Justice Youth is running a free online film screening of This Changes Everything, a film by Avi Lewis and Naomi Klein. The event will be held on Saturday, March 20, and is aimed at people aged under 30.
This Changes Everything presents portraits of communities on the front lines of the climate crisis, from the Alberta Tar Sands to the coast of South India. Interwoven with these stories is Naomi Klein’s narration, presenting the idea that people can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.
The event will take place online, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. There will be an introduction and discussion led by activists from Southampton Global Justice Youth and Sam Lund-Harket, from Global Justice Now. After the screening there’ll be room for discussion and further information on the Global Justice Now youth network.
