Black History Month continues throughout October. This week’s highlights include Chelsea Carmichael at the Turner Sims and Black in Focus British Film Night at MAST Mayflower Studios. For more information, click here.

As always, there  are loads of great live bands. It’s something of a homecoming for Hampshire’s Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls (pictured top), supported by Pet Needs at the O2 Guildhall Southampton on Friday, while The Lemonheads are at The 1865 tomorrow, Inhaler will be at The Engine Rooms on October 17 and Sports Team will be at the O2 Guildhall Southampton, also on the 17th.
