Climate Justice protest march to take place in Southampton tomorrow

Tomorrow (November 12) will see thousands of people taking to the streets across the country demanding Climate Justice in solidarity with the Global Day of Action called by Egyptian groups at COP27.

Protesters will be out in force in Southampton city centre, with a circular march setting off from Guildhall Square at 1pm, featuring a samba band.

A spokesperson said: “from the cost of living crisis, to floods in Pakistan and Shell’s criminal profits – we will come together as one movement to demand justice.”

A spokesperson said: Southern water have been invited to appear at the river Itchen enquiry on Thursday November 17th. Let’s show them what the public think about illegal sewage dumping in the river.”

Attendees are invited to bring paddle boards/boats/rafts etc though protesters on dry land are also welcome. And if you happen to have a poo costume you’re encouraged to wear it!

Speakers will be in attendance.
