The Wizard of Oz is already underway at Theatre Royal Winchester (click here for a preview and here for the review). Meanwhile, the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton’s big panto, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, starring Jason Donovan, Faye Brooks, Sooty and Richard Cadell opens on December 10 (click here for more, and again, look out for the review).
There’s Christmas stuff on for grown-ups too, including festive wine tasting in Winchester (click here for more) the first weekend of God’s House Tower’s Christmas Makers Market (click here for more) and Christmas fun for all ages at Boulder Shack on Saturday. See Southampton are giving guided tours of the city on Saturday and Sunday, including the walls, towers and wine vaults, with cake and hot drink.
Other highlights include Southampton Philharmonic Choir who are are bringing Handel’s Messiah to Southampton Guildhall, Pet Needs at The Joiners and The Sweetchunks Band at Shooting Star.
