The Christmas Makers Market at God’s House Tower, Southampton, offers a great chance to find some unusual gifts or treat yourself to something, while getting you into the festive spirit.

The popular market, now in its second year, takes place over the next two weekends in the medieval surroundings of God’s House Tower as some of the region’s most talented and creative makers and artists take over the tower in its biggest market yet.

Whether you’re looking for a bespoke present for a loved one, are searching for a fun stocking filler, or even fancy treating yourself to something special, from jewellery to prints, ceramics and homewares, the Christmas Makers Market is the perfect place to do some Christmas shopping with a difference, and find a truly unique selection of gifts and artworks all lovingly made by local makers. Different artists and makers will be at the market on different dates, so do check below if there’s someone whose work you are particularly interested in.

Saturday 10th December: Katherine Anteney, Kay Brown, Sarah Filmer, Lisa Gardner, Beth Givens,  Izabela Majka Jewellery, Amy Harwood Illustration, Oli Knowles, Gillian Owen, Sea Clay Studio, Siscribbles, Alex Sutherland Ceramics and Aylsa Williams.

Sunday 11th December: Katherine Anteney, Cowprint Artists Group, Carole Hillman, Beth Givens, Izabela Majka Jewellery, Amy Harwood Illustration, Robin Price, Sarah Simon, Sea Clay Studio, Siscribbles, Alex Sutherland Ceramics and Aylsa Williams.

Saturday 17th December: Beth Davis-Hofbauer, Shabnam Foroozan, Fusion Jewellery, Moly Gupta,  Emily Jones, Macondo Soap, Izabela Majka Jewellery, Robin Price, Yoko Romita, Mandy Smith, Helen Scribbans, Rhi Skinner, Naomi Thorne and Charlotte Wardner.

Sunday 18th December: Dhes Home, Sarah Longbottom, Emily Jones, Lizzie Keep, Macondo Soap, Izabela Majka Jewellery, Yoko Romita, Mandy Smith, Helen Scribbans, Naomi Thorne and Charlotte Wardner.

The GHT Cafe & Bar will be serving a festive selection of food and refreshments, including mulled wine and warming hot drinks.

The Christmas Makers Market will take place this December on the following dates:

Saturday 10th December 10am – 5pm, Sunday 11th December 10am – 4pm, Saturday 17th December 10am – 5pm and Sunday 18th December 10am – 4pm. Entry to the market is free.

This event will take place in the Cafe & Bar which is located on the ground floor and has step-free, wheelchair access and the Main Gallery which is located on the first floor and has lift access. For more information about the market, click here.
