Coach to take protesters from Southampton and Eastleigh to national NHS demonstration in London

Coach to take protesters from Southampton and Eastleigh to national NHS demonstration in London

by Sally Churchward.

A national demonstration to support striking NHS workers is being held in London next month and people from Southampton are being invited to attend and show support.

Local group, Southampton People’s Assembly, is organising a coach from the city and also making a stop in Eastleigh, to take people to the demonstration in Tottenham Court Road, and bring them back afterwards.

The Save Our NHS! Solidarity with Striking Nurses! rally is to take place on Saturday 11th March.

An organiser said: “We stand with all NHS staff taking strike action to protect the service from further damage. We need a publicly run NHS that we know works – not a private healthcare model that we know doesn’t work. 11th March is a vital moment to demand the government finds the resources and the political will to do what is needed to stop unnecessary death and suffering now.

“We need to save our NHS for future generations.”

A coach will be going at 9am from Southampton on March 11th – see booking details in this link and book a seat here:
