Preview: The Tell-Tale Heart, Theatre Royal Winchester

Fans of the supernatural and murder mysteries will enjoy the classic story, The Tell-Tale Heart, which will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on March 16 to 18.

Based on Edgar Allen Poe’s Victorian chiller and described by one reviewer as a must watch for horror fans, The Tell-Tale Heart shares the story of someone who has committed a murder.

When the police arrive, they appear friendly enough but the murderer begins to wonder if their conscience will betray them and asks what is the noise in their ears? The beating of their own guilty heart, or that of the man they have killed.

The Tell-Tale Heart is brought to the stage by Rumpus Theatre Company who present new and established playwrighting in audience-friendly productions – from contemporary comedy to Gothic horror, including Cider with Rosie, 39 Steps, and The Black Veil.

The Tell-Tale Heart will be at Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 14 March at 8pm. Recommended age is 12 and over. For more information or to book tickets visit: theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
